Upcycle with Citizen Cider & All Times

Are you ready to be a professional DIY-er? Here are some super easy, cute AF crafts to do on a rainy day. First things first, crack open a can or bottle of your favorite cider (you’re gonna need an empty or two).


Cider Succulents

What you need:

Empty can/bottle/growler

Can opener or glass cutter

Succulents or your choice of small plant

Potting soil

Directions:

  1. Use can opener to take the top of the can off OR use glass cutter to cut top of the bottle/grolwer off.
  2. Fill ¾ the can with potting soil
  3. Plant succulent or choice of flower in can & fill to the top with potting soil
  4. THAT’S IT. IT’S THAT EASY !

 


Cider Can Lanterns

 

What you need:

Empty can

Can opener

1 Tack or Needle

1 Candle

Directions

  1. Use can opener to take the top of the can off
  2. Use tack/needle to poke small holes in the can. You can make any design you’d like. Don’t worry if the can gets a little dented, you won’t notice when it’s lit up!
  3. Drop candle in can and let it shine!
  4. THAT’S IT. IT’S THAT EASY!

cider magnets

What you need:

Empty can

Bottle caps

Exacto Knife

Hot glue gun

Small magnets

Directions

  1. Use Exacto Knife to cut shapes out of can OR your favorite parts of the can. (Drink VT, Get Excidered, etc.) You can also use cider bottle caps!
  2. Use hot glue gun to glue magnets to the back of your cut outs & caps.
  3. Stick to your fridge or filing cabinets!
  4. THAT’S IT. IT’S THAT EASY!

Directions:

  1. First cut bottom of can off
  2. then cut vertically toward top into thin strips.
  3. Gather into 7 sections and use a thin piece of can to keep sections gathered.
  4. Use a bobby pin to curl individual strips around.
  5. Cut another can for the Good Citizen part and apply to can opening!
  6. Boom, time to celebrate!
